Kraków, Poland, Biblioteka Jagiellonska, Berlin MS Mus. 40098 (olim Z 98 and Z 8037)
(Glogauer Liederbuch)

Provenance:

Probably compiled by abbot Martin Rinkenberg for the monastery of the Canons Regular in Żagań (Ger. Sagan) in Silesia, not in Glogau in Silesia as has long been assumed (and what gave the source its nickname 'Glogauer Liederbuch'). Later in the possession of the Latin School at the collegiate church of Glogau as witnessed by the inscription 'Catalogo Ecclesiae Colleg. Glogoviae Maj. inscribtus' from the middle of the 16th century. Gancarczyk 2009. Probably came into the possession of the Prussian State Library in the 19th century. In 1945, it was moved with many other precious holdings to Grüssau Abbey in Silesia to protect it from the Battle of Berlin; after the end of the War, it was moved to the Biblioteka Jagiellonska in Kraków.
